Building Community Capacity is Key to Long-Term Success
With shrinking resources and added responsibilities, educators need to think strategically about how to effectively build a process for success. Without a developed system, it can feel like initiative overload. At CLEE we have found one of the best ways to future-proof the impact of your professional development is to create a system of continuous improvement that allows innovations to stick and make their intended impact.
Community investment in systems and structures is the most effective investment you can make. Rather than chasing initiatives or fads or spending money to make changes at the edges, you can activate your whole community for core transformation in the classroom.
In CLEE’s Cycles of Improvement program we support educators in building the habit and practice of continuous improvement: using multiple data sets, understanding root causes, identifying needs, developing goals, creating a plan, testing a change, learning from the change, then scaling improvement. The investment in your sustainability and alignment will pay off in impact for students for years to come.

Summer Staff Retreats can Set You Up for a Successful Year
A summer administrative retreat can serve as an important bridge between school years to celebrate success, learn from challenges, and set direction for the future. CLEE can partner with you to plan and facilitate a team retreat that will charge your team up, bring them together with an aligned purpose, and all while having fun together!
CLEE’s skilled facilitators will work with you to design an agenda that meets your needs. Whether it be to learn from texts, analyze data, obtain feedback from the team on new policies or plans, or work together to solve pressing needs, CLEE has both the tools and the skills. We will ensure the retreat is designed to allow colleagues to know each other beyond name and role. When you know the beliefs and values you each bring to your work, you can be vulnerable and collaborate for the same goals focused on students.
This can all sound very serious, but one of the most important elements of a retreat is to have some fun! It is an opportunity to have time as a team to get to know each other without the pressure of a school day, so there is space to have some fun together too. A little joy can keep us connected to our colleagues and the students we serve.

The world has changed a lot since the last SRI Fall Meeting in 2019! Join us in Rhode Island November 7-8, 2024 for our CLEE Fall Meeting: Welcome Home.
This will be an opportunity to (re)connect with educators from across the country as we explore what leading for equity looks like in our current world. What would it look and feel like if every student got what they needed to unleash their unlimited unknowable potential? What strengths in our adult learning community can we build upon to reach this vision?
Together, we will practice the heart, hand, and mind work through tools and protocols to increase equitable outcomes for each and every student.

Analyzing Student Work to Drive Improvement in the Instructional Core

Analyzing student work is a practice that helps educators dig more deeply into what is happening in the instructional core. In this session, participants will engage in structured dialogue around student work in order to refine adult instructional practices to increase equity in the classroom. This session is being provided at no cost to you!
Each month, CLEE offers a question or two to help you reflect on what you are experiencing. Thinking about the importance of questioning and what your answers mean is one more step in your growth as a leader for equity.
